this page isn't a BYF or DNI as much as it is a these are things i believe and values that i hold & if we don't see eye to eye on these, i likely do not want to associate with you, or be your friend, and i definitely do NOT want to debate them with you.

sexism, racism, ableism, classism, antisemitism, islamophobia, being a bigot over any queer/LGBTQ+ identity, talking over marginalized groups' lived experiences, etc are very much not okay by me. i will never support that, or any forms of that.the harm & vulnerability caused by the caste system is not okay, and i think the caste system SHOULD be abolished. however, i have significant caste privilege & would not claim to be an authority of any sort on caste-related social issues. i am still learning!!i am still finding the right word for what i believe politically, but in general don't really have much sympathy for right wing rhetoric, or anything that aligns strongly with it. also, capitalism sucks.radical feminism is awful regardless of who is spreading that rhetoric. men are not predatory merely by virtue of being men, do better.i am not an exclusionist when it comes to LGBTQ+ identities. i believe everybody deserves to have words to describe their identity in a way that feels correct and true to them, & as long as it is in good faith, it doesn't hurt anybody.i believe the split attraction model is significant and important and support everyone who uses it. this includes, but is not limited to bi/pan lesbians.pansexuality is a real and valid sexuality and i do not see the need for people to pit bi & pan people against each other.ace/aro identities are LGBTQ+. ace/aro people are inherently queer if they choose to identify with that label; i think it belongs to them as much as it belongs to any other queer person.homophobia very much affects bi/pan people, and other people who are not monosexual and bi/pan people belong in mlm/wlw communities JUST AS MUCH as gay men and lesbians do. these are our spaces and our histories and yes, our slurs, and anyone who thinks bisexual/pansexual people are "less queer" than gay men and lesbians should do themselves a favour and stay away, haha.as a trans person, i feel that trans community solidarity is the most important thing. there IS enough space for all of us to talk about our problems. talking about transmisogyny does not take space away from trans men or transmascs. similarly, talking about transandrophobia (or whatever term you prefer, as a trans guy this is my preferred language) does not take space away from trans women and transfems.there are definitely contexts in which it is important for us to be allies and support each other, and not talk over one another but listen, instead. however, all trans people's lived experiences w/ transphobia are important & we all deserve safe spaces to talk about them.if you're reclaiming a term, you should know about the baggage associated with it & have done your research before you choose it for yourself.connectedly, anyone who identifies as a "baeddel", or wants to bring that back, or is an ally to that movement has a responsibility to look into the actual harassment & abuse the original baeddel group on tumblr brought about, and to decide if that is something they want to reclaim.if the answer to the above is yes, please stay far away from me.queer communities on tumblr are not "more cringe" than the ones on twitter. an online queer person is a queer person irl. sorry you don't like some websites, i guess.fanfiction is cool and everything but it doesn't function the same way as traditional publishing, and using the same arguments and concepts for it that you would for media created or endorsed by big corporations makes no sense to me.let people enjoy things in fiction that they might not necessarily endorse or support in reality!! i am all for ship & let ship, your kink is not my kink but your kink is okay, and all that. people create and consume media for all sorts of reasons, often very personal, and we aren't entitled to that information a lot of the time!! as long as people are clear that it is all fiction & they tag their work appropriately so that people can avoid it, i don't see a problem.free speech does not include hate speech & i think there is a fundamental difference between work that exists to further a bigoted agenda and harm vulnerable communities as opposed to work written solely to explore dark themes and without any ill-will and shared in good faith. i do not support the former.
i am desi, and have lived in india all my life - this doesn't often come up, but if i say something that makes no sense in the context of your lived experience, it is possible that i just had a very different experience to you. social/cultural differences are a real thing, i do my best to be respectful as much as i can.
